Product Design & Manufacturing Collection. Would you stick with F360 because of the familiarity (and the fact that I actually pay for it each month) or would you go with CCP just for use on the Shapeoko?Īlso what is the preferred controller software? I use Mach3 on the plasma but it's pretty old/low tech at this point (it's perfect for what we use it for but I'm going to be doing far more detailed work with the Shapeoko). How to find, edit, customize, or request post processors for the following programs: Inventor CAM. Watching a TON of videos of people using CCP and it looks to be a fairly feature rich platform especially if doing the inverse of v-carving operations. I mention all of this to say I'm better than beginner at F360 but I'm certainly not an expert. Because of this I'm pretty good at 2D stuff in Fusion and I design and print a fair number of relatively basic things on the 3d printer that I design in Fusion. I have a cnc plasma table (Langmuir Crossfire) that we've done pretty well with and I use a combination of Illustrator and Fusion360. With Fusion 360 you can quickly iterate on design ideas with sculpting tools to explore form and modeling tools to create finishing features. I'm about to pull the trigger on a Shapeoko Pro XXL in about a week and my brain is chomping at all kinds of designs and projects already!
